Codec are delighted to announce that we have been awarded Microsoft’s prestigious Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) Advanced Partner Specialisation. We are one of only a small number of companies to have achieved this certification in Europe.

Windows Virtual Desktop is a new specialisation launched by Microsoft in September 2020, reflecting the increased reliance on technologies which enable secure remote work across a range of use cases.

This certification was achieved because of Codec’s experience with implementing Windows Virtual Desktop, and our knowledge, experience, and proven success around deploying, optimising, and securing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) on Azure. It is a reflection on the experience of our team with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies going back almost 20 years.

Codec obtained this certification following an independent third-party audit.  This audit assessed our ability to deliver complex WVD projects including evaluating our people, processes, and technology.  The advanced specialisation measures partner capabilities in a specific solution area at a more in-depth level than a competency, which measures broad technical capability in a Microsoft product area.

The specialisation follows on from our achievement of Azure Expert MSP status in December 2020, the first indigenous Irish company to achieve this award. Read More
