Dynamics NAV 2017 upgrade: why you shouldn’t wait!
With the latest release of Dynamics NAV, Microsoft has not only given a major lift to core ERP functionality. They have combined these with a broad range of new reporting and analytics features to enable your workforce to work smarter and faster. In NAV 2016, Microsoft introduced Power BI integration. With the NAV 2017 upgrade, they have now enhanced it. Users can embed reports and dashboards, and create custom reports via self-service tools. Power BI-created reports appear in NAV 2017 Role Centres, giving users the data and the information they need when they need it. Besides, the Cortana intelligence service offers powerful predictive analytics and artificial intelligence.
In the Dynamics NAV 2017 upgrade, financial statements can be done handily and without a hitch. Microsoft has added a few default financial reports like:
Microsoft added account categories and sub-categories. This makes it easy to group general ledger accounts to best suit financial reporting needs. Users just need to specify the account category in each G/L account so ledger entries in this account are categorised as assets, liabilities or expenses, etc.
Add to this further powerful integration with Office 365 and an unlimited extensibility via apps in Dynamics 365 AppSource, and you will soon find no reason not to upgrade.
