International Women's Day Event: Titanic Hotel, Belfast, 8th March 2023

Codec invite you to join us for a celebration of women's achievement at our International Women's Day event on Wednesday 8th March in the Titanic Hotel, Belfast.  

Chaired by Codec, we have an excellent panel of speakers who are doing great work to progress gender equality and make a positive difference for women in the workplace. 

We do hope you will join us at the event – all are welcome. You will be in great company with others who are passionate about gender equality. 

Event details:

  • 5pm - arrival and networking at the Titanic hotel  

  • 5.15pm - drinks & canapés  & panel discussions 

  • 7pm - event finish

About the panel:

clarehillis

Clare Hillis, Head of Channel Sales, Microsoft Ireland 

Clare is a passionate sales leader with 20+ years in the Technology and Telecommunication industries. She is currently Head of Microsoft’s Channel Business in Ireland. Prior to joining Microsoft, Clare held several senior management positions in the IT industry, and most recently was Head of Vodafone NI with responsibility for a high performing sales team.  

As an ambitious, self-motivated individual with a high growth mindset, Clare has always met and exceeded targets.  She has “Top of the class” track records for performance and industry awards for Best Woman in Technology Sales. Clare is a strong female role model in a male dominated industry and believes strongly in empowering women in the workplace, especially in STEM industries.  

Jill Robinson

Jill Robinson, Co-founder & CEO, Flourish NI

Jill Robinson is the co-founder of the charity, Flourish NI, which was formed in 2014 to provide critical long-term support to survivors of human trafficking in Northern Ireland. The aim of the charity is to support survivors in their recovery from their traumatic experiences to be able to move on to lead a safe independent resilient life.

The work of the charity is carried out through tailored casework and advocacy and also through involvement in group activities and skills based courses. Flourish is represented on both NI and UK forums dedicated to combating human trafficking and the charity has received an award for an outstanding contribution in supporting survivors.

Fiona daly

Fiona Daly, CFO & Head of Legal, Codec 

Fiona is the CFO and Head of Legal & Talent in Codec. Fiona has worked as a leader in tech for over 15 years and is a passionate supporter of women's rights and diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

She was instrumental in establishing a partnership with Ruhama, a charity dedicated to working with victims of prostitution and sexual exploitation and in the provision of career coaching and mentorship support to their clients. 

Fiona is also a passionate supporter of CSR initiatives in Codec and has spear-headed our diversity, charity and sustainability projects.

Christina Matier, Principal Business Analyst & Team Lead, Codec 

Christina is a Principal Business Analyst and people leader at Codec Belfast with 10+ years  experience in analytics and a focus on the manufacturing industry.  She’s active in the local community and has developed a strong passion for learning and supporting local charity initiatives.  Christina is an advocate for Women in Tech and has recently focused on delivering interactive sessions to the younger generation to encourage them to pursue an education and a career in the IT industry.  Christina is also a two-time finalist for the Belfast Telegraph ‘IT Woman of the Year’ 2021 and 2022.
