13,000 attendees who made it to London for the debut of Hewlett Packard Enterprise? If not, don’t worry!

Here is a high level look at some of the top announcements and sessions you missed.

The Announcements

HPE Synergy, Microsoft Azure

As its first announcement of Discover 2015, HPE Synergy was unveiled on stage: a first-of-its-kind solution. HPE Synergy is “the first platform designed to run both traditional and cloud native applications for organizations seeking the benefits of running a hybrid infrastructure”. Look out for HPE Synergy when it hits the market in spring 2016.

Through a live stream with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, HPE announced a partnership with Microsoft creating a hyper-converged system, HPE Hyper Converged 250. As part of the partnership, Hewlett Packard Enterprise will enable Microsoft Azure consumption and services on every server built. The extended partnership names Microsoft Azure as the ‘preferred public cloud partner’ for HPE customers, while Hewlett Packard Enterprise will serve as a preferred partner in providing infrastructure and services for Microsoft’s hybrid cloud offerings.

Finally, HPE Helion Managed Cloud Broker was revealed: a new managed service that allows organizations to provision, access, consolidate, and securely control services across multiple cloud workloads and providers. Customers will now be able to transform to a hybrid infrastructure with this service providing them with capabilities, such as an integrated self-service portal with direct interface to service providers, security and performance management, and service request submission and management. It will be delivered as a managed service in a consumption-based model in 2016.
