Oracle Budgeting and Planning Cloud Workshop
Codec and Oracle host the first Oracle Cloud budgeting and Planning workshop.
Codec were delighted to host the first of our Oracle Cloud budgeting and planning workshops out in Oracle EMEA HQ in Eastpoint Business Park on Thursday 28th March.
The workshop which ran over the course of the day kicked off at 10am and finished at 4pm. Attendees had the option of joining for the morning, afternoon or staying for both sessions.
This workshop gave attendees a core understanding of how Oracle budgeting, planning and cloud services can help achieve business goals. The day was kicked off by John Roddy, Commercial Director for Codec and was followed by presentations from Oracle’s Michael Lydon, Senior Manager for ERP/EPM/SCM & HCM who gave an overview of the journey to the Oracle cloud followed by a very interesting presentation from Sarah Murphy, Senior CFO for Oracle on their own implementation of Oracle FCCS for the EMEA region – their key learnings and experiences in implementing the technology for over 1500 employees across diverse geographical locations.
Senior Solution Consultant for Oracle, Ronan Kelehan delivered an Oracle Analytics Cloud product Overview and demonstration. This was followed up by Codec’s EPM Practice Lead, Luiz Cairo who spent some time discussing how Codec have worked with a number of key organisations and how they have moved from existing on-premise solutions for planning and budgeting and their move to the Oracle Cloud.
The afternoon session was delivered by Codec’s Senior EPM Consultant, Rafael Lorenzoni and involved the practical business experience of how to implement PBCS from scratch including; Business Model, Input Forms, Load Data, Simulation Panels, Expand the Rules, Navigation and Tasks, Security, Allocations and Reports. He also discussed moving your existing applications to the Cloud: Lifecycle Management and PBCS Migration and Other Considerations.
With over 20 attendees on the day, this was a very successful workshop and the feedback from those there was very positive.
