We are delighted to announce that Codec’s Fiona Daly has been shortlisted for the Women in Digital Award at this years Digital Business Ireland awards.

Taking place on the evening of Friday 22nd January 2021, The Digital Business Ireland – permanent tsb Digital Awards celebrate the very best of digital businesses in Ireland and reward websites and people across a number of sectors to reflect the online world that businesses now inhabit, trade and communicate in.

In 2020, the Digital Awards will recognise individuals and organisations in thirteen award categories across the following key headings: Websites, Innovation and People Awards.

Fiona has been shortlisted for the Women in Digital award within the People category. This award celebrates an exceptional female professional working in a company that embraces digital.

Fiona has worked for Codec for the past 18 years and is now Chief Financial Officer and Head of Legal for the group. She has been at the helm of the organisation responsible for driving continued growth in the market whilst also being involved in delivering transformational change through digital and in opening up new markets and opportunities for Codec.

In 2019, Fiona was instrumental in spearheading the establishment of a new company, dss-supply – a diversified organisation providing custom IT Procurement Solutions to global corporations. As CEO of this new company within the Codec group, Fiona was responsible for the achievement of Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by WEConnect International, meaning that more than 51% of the board members are female.

Providing opportunities for female members of staff to grow and develop their talents has been central to the culture and ethos being developed and nurtured by Fiona. Codec pride themselves on offering female staff challenging roles with the flexibility needed to manage their day-to-day work life balance. In addition, mentoring and support mechanisms have been established to support team members to help them develop and fully realise their potential.

In being nominated for this award, Fiona commented “It’s an incredible honour on both a professional and personal level to have been shortlisted in this category and to count myself among some incredible women. Over the many years I have been working in the tech sector, I have seen a lot of change and progress in so many ways. Digital has always been at the very heart of our businesses and how we communicate to our many customers and partners” she added.
